Family Getaways

June brings to mind family vacations, cookouts, and fishing.  Good times with friends and family at the lake  create wonderful memories.

Starting with free fishing day on June 6, there are plenty of opportunities to launch your boat or find a secluded cove to cast from the bank.  Old Hickory Lake is filled with catfish, bass, crappie, bream, bluegill and more varieties.  Teach your child to fish and share the joy of relaxing outdoors in our Southern sunshine!

How about retreating to a cabin on the lake?  Bring your whole family or just the guys to Bull Creek Resort or Eagle's Cove for fun on the shoreline or playing cards at the dining table.  Fry up a mess of fish or grill some burgers & hot dogs...don't forget the homemade ice cream!  Even a women's retreat on the water can be fun, if you combine it with a bit of shopping and maybe a spa day.

If you're staying in one of our comfortable hotels, try the local fare when you get hungry, like barbeque, cornbread and sweet tea.  Dine by the lake at several marinas and restaurants.

There are lots of relaxing ways to enjoy your vacation in Sumner County...so come on over and visit us soon.
